God Hears You When You Pray

As a child I always had imaginary friends. I was alone most of the time even though I had three brothers, and 2 sisters. I had friends that no one could see or talk to but me. So, it was not a stretch for me to believe in a God you could not see.

I learned how to pray at an early age. At 5 years old I was told not to take my jump rope to school, and I did anyway. Even though I knew a punishment was coming, it still did not seem to be much of a deterrent for me not taking it. I walked a few steps, then stopped, knelt and prayed. My parents saw me out of the window from the porch and decided that I had tortured myself enough to cancel the punishment.

God had answered my prayers. This was my first experience of knowing that He does hear and answer prayers. When we come to God in simple faith, He is listening, and has commanded the Angels to Hearken to the voice of his Word (Psalm 103:20). For the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. And of the joints and the marrow and the intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12).

The Angels cannot work until we speak. We are speaking spirits. They only move by the spoken “Word” of God. Jesus said in Luke 4:4 that man should not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. When I was praying at 5 years old. I didn’t know a lot of scripture. But I knew God at an early age and trusted him to keep me.

We are to trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and lean not to our own understanding. In all of our ways acknowledge Him and he will direct our path (Prov. 3:5) Speak the word only! For it shall not return to us void, but it shall accomplish that which we please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto we send it (Isaiah 55:11).

Let’s say you are believing in God for healing, your prayer should go something like this! Father you word says in 3 John 2, Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth. Isaiah 53:5 says that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with his stripes we are healed. So, father I believe, I receive my healing in the Authority of Jesus (Mark 11:23-25)

Start praising God that you have it now and you will see it come to pass. Praise and worship move sthe hand of God. If we will believe we receive when we pray, we shall have whatsoever we saith. (Mark 11-23-25).
