POWER IN PRAYER

But you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the utter most part of the earth. (Acts 1:8}.

In order for us to have a more effective prayer life, and pray with power, we must be filled with the Holy Ghost. It is possible for us to go to the Father in the Name of Jesus, with his word in our mouth and get results. God honors HIS word when it is spoken with faith and power. It is the natural way we pray in our own English Language; However, there is another way we can pray over situations that are out of or control or dominion. A supernatural prayer language that the enemy does not understand. It's called praying in other tongues or in the "Spirit".

This supernatural ability can not happen until we are filled with the Holy Ghost with the bible evidence of Speaking with other tongues. This power came on the day of Pentecost (Luke 24:49) "And behold I send the promise of my father upon you; But tarry ye in Jerusalem until ye be endued with power from on high. He was telling them to wait for the day of Pentecost because that was the day it was promised.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting, and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. {Acts 2:1)

Jesus said in Luke 10-19 "Behold I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The word power is translated Dunamis in the Greek, and it means dynamite, explosive ability. Paul told the church in Rome "likewise the Spirit itself also helped are infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for a we ought; But the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, and he that searcheth the heart knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God we

know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. {Romans 8:26-28).

To Sum up what Paul was saying is that when you pray in the spirit, the Lord applies the perfect solution to the REAL need and then the outcome is vs28 ... now we know that all things work together for your good, because HE is praying through you the perfect will of God.

Let me give you an example: Your best friend calls you because she is having problems in her marriage. She tells you HER side of things, but you know there are two sides to every story and the truth is in the middle. The best you can do for her is listen, then pray in English what the word says (love scriptures), and then pray in the spirit. He knows what really happened ... and he will supply the power that is needed to start the healing process.

Remember, It is the anointing that destroys the yoke, and he will supply the power that is needed to get the job done!
